He is here with us!

We are back at our hotel after a morning full of emotion. Lee is here with us smiling and playing with a little airplane toy they gave him from the orphanage. I can't put any of it in to words, we have it on video but when we pulled up to the orphanage I saw Lee standing in a blue and red sweat suit with a smile on his face at the entrance. My world stopped and I jumped out of the car and just held on to him for so long. Of course I was crying and Trip was holding the video camera choked up as well.
We had a very long visit at the orphanage and I was able to ask several questions and give gifts to the children. They loved the candy. Lee was proud that it was from us and the director passed it out to all of the children.
Lee is very loved in that orphanage. Beyond what I could have imagined. Everyone said that he has been their favorite for years and they have all been rooting for a family to take him once the adoptions reopened. There were a lot of tears upon our arrival, many of the workers were consoling each other about Lee going. I just stepped back and let them grieve over him. They said his "mother" the woman who has cared for him his whole life could not stand to be there so she never came in today. They gave me a picture of her and said they were very attached. I tried to do my best to let them know how much we loved him and take could care of him. They seemed happy with us, but watched us constantly while we interacted with him.
Lee cried the first time we had to put him in our van to take him to our adoption ceremony, he was very stressed. They said yesterday he cried all day and came to them and said he had changed his mind about going to America.
He seems very happy now and has taken a strong liking to Trip and his goofiness. He's very huggy and lovey, he has kissed me several times and asks to be picked up on occation. The only thing he says in English that I understand is "Hey" which is what he is currently calling Trip.
I will try to post some pictures. I had a problem posting last night but I will give it another try.
Know we are well and very happy, he couldn't be cuter and more full of life. He's smaller than I thought he would be but very strong and wirey.
He is fantastic at sound effects and pretend fighting. I think he will fit in well with our friends and family.
I need to run, but I will post pictures soon.
Thanks for all of your prayers...they have been answered.

Rhissa and Trip,
I couldn't wait to get up this morning and check to see what had happened, but I could barely get through your blog with all of the tears. It brought back such strong emotions of the first time I caught a glimpse of Kaitlyn. Lee is such a lucky little boy and you will hear that often, but more and more as time goes on, will find yourselves responding that you are the lucky ones, to have been given such a gift!! Love to you all, Rhonda

Rhissa & Trip,
Both Monique & I emailed each other today re: your latest posting. We both laughed at how each of us cried as we read your blog, especially you describing him standing on the sidewalk and waiting for you in his red and blue sweatsuit. I would not expect a Parker child to be anything to but excited, strong, and loving. We are all waiting to hug you when you get home!

Love,
Kyle
